oh, which reminds me, during this period of time i went for the SYC concert with fionie.

the pianists were superb!

There were 2 pianists playing for the SYC after the intermission, and i wasn't even listening to SYC anymore.HAHAHA.

went for food at this retro cafe, forgot the name of the place.

food was worth it's price,which was relatively low compared to other restaurants.haha.

First time prawning!

It was quite fun, and i think the prawns like me and adilla.HAHA.

we were hungry so we went to MacD's to get food, and during that whole time, sarah and the 2 guys couldn't get anything.

but when we came back, each of us caught a prawn! and we didn't even have to wait long.HAHA.

but i still vividly remember all the little details of nov 2008.

i remember forgetting my calculator during econs paper 1.

i remember thinking to myself what if i got the wrong paper during econs paper 2.

i remember struggling for math.

i remember sitting at the stairs with shuhui,dilys and huixian before H1 chem MCQ and not studying for it.hahaha.

i remember how that male teacher made the parquet floor sink downwards when he walked briskly down the aisle.

the worst thing is that our presentation is due on week 13(fri)

Hey pple!

i had my very first violin lesson just now!!

i don't know who told me violin will be easy for me to pick up.that's all a lie.

violin's so much harder than piano.

ok la.the technique's harder.

and just press a few milimetres differently from the markings my teacher put on the violin, it creates a different sound.

my violin teacher kept picking on my posture.

and i don't know hw to hold the violin and the bow properly.

somehow the way im holding it is still really awkward.heh.

i'm procrastinating.

don't wanna read biz law.

i've exhausted all of my online tasks, so i have nth left to do by blog.hahaha.

pple who knows me wld know that i've wanted to study law since i was 5.

bt god almighty knew that law wasn't for me.

so he gave me mediocre results that's not sufficient for law.

ain't he great?ahahahaha

law is sooooooo boring.draining.

i'll fall aslp within 2pages.

i used to think that i'd never get used to SMU's project based pedagogy.

bt now, i think projects are much more fun then studying for the module.

projects span out for a couple of weeks before it's due, so im nt so busy.

although the week when the presentation's due,it's usually a hell of a week.

everything is crammed together.

modules like biz law have readings every week.

so every wed i have to cram 1or2 chapters in a few hours, and on the MRT.

i shouldn't complain.

people are losing sleep due to school.

at least i still get 8(or more) hours of sleep everyday.hahaha.

oh, i got back my mang comm results for the speech alrd.

it was alot better then expected considering that i was super nervous.

ok la..quite satisfied.

and i'm getting back biz law today.

i dreamt that i got a C.

i always have nightmares abt my results.don't know why.

since secondary sch.

not that they're accurate.

cos i dreamt that i failed my A levels and had to retain in PJC.

worst nightmare ever.

the food there's awesome. and the service there is above average too.

That kinda described how wonderful my 19th birthday was.

I got home at 11pm cos of choir to find all my family members aslp alrd.

Hello! we went to the beach today with uuno!!

i figured i better blog more since i think my blog will be dead again once sch starts. lol.

04.10.09 - TOWN with ADILLA

It was a very last minute thing.

she smsed me when i was still at work.

but i wanted to go shopping too after all the deprivation smu had brought me.hee.

so we went to town.

die. i'm so broke this month. i bought 2pairs of new shoes.hahaha.

adilla was super craving for gelati, so i brought her to the one at ion.

it's now officially my fave place for ice cream.

the ambience there is good, and there's more variety for the same price.hahaha.

speaking of sunday, i want to rant about my student.

i managed to make a student cry without even raising my voice.

she kept playing the wrong note over and over again even though i tried using various methods to teach her.

so i kept asking her to repeat. so many times that i was literally half asleep.

and then, i told her that she's been learning piano for 2years, and yet she's still in begginner's level. still nvm. she still can't tell me the position and notes on the piano.

in case you don't know, that's the most fundamental thing any piano student should know.

you learn your notes within 2months. she had 2years.

and then, i saw something dripping down her face.

i was thinking to myself "are those tears? is she crying?"

this was when i didn't feel so sleepy alrd.

WTH la! i haven even raise my voice at her.

this was when i felt really angry alrd. so i told her to go wash up in the toilet.

don't want to see students crying, later pple think i bully her.

seriously, kids nowadays are so weak.

during my time, my hormonal piano teacher threatened to chop off my fingers if i use the wrong fingering ok? she's super anal about that even though it's not the most impt thing.

i didn't even cry la. i went straight to my mom and we demanded for a change of teachers.

strawberries. all kids now are strawberries.

usually she's not so bad, she's actually quite an obedient student.

maybe she wasn't concentrating on that day.

too bad for her.

Everyone has days like that. Even uuno.

hello.

i'm awfully tired now.

These few weeks have been crazy. literally.

I have TWC and biz law readings everyweek,

3 projects running concurrently,

and assignments to do.

Oh, and i've got choir.

not to mention my saturday and sunday workload.

I've dropped my tution kid alrd.

i thought that if i dropped him, i would have more time to myself.

WRONG.

once i dropped him, things pop out of thin air smack into my face.

i don't know what made me sign the stupid 1year contract with christofori.

i'll never ever sign employment contracts again.

oh, did i mention that i'm once again in choir?

hahaha..i'm now in the SMU chamber choir.

cos' samba masala don't want me.LOL.

choir's schedule is crazy too.

there are performances coming up.

in fact, just 3weeks after we joined choir, we had a peace day performance alrd.

time's tight for everything.

i don't even have time to do uuno's face and dig his ears.

My poor baby is seeing lesser and lesser of me alrd.

i go out of the house early in the morning and reach home after 8pm everyday.

i don't know which idiot told me that JC would be the most difficult 2years.

then Uni would be a breeze.

i'm still enjoying lessons though, i just don't like the workload.

i'm having a fever now. of all times, of all weeks.
why not a fever during the 9months holiday when i was bumming around?

speaking of busy, this whole week's completely packed.
Mon - Morning i've got piano lessons in Jurong East, then afternoon i've got tuition, then evening
i've gotta go back to JE for my piano studio booking.
Tues - Long school day, after which would be choir auditions
Wed - Piano exam in the morning.i'm so dead. i'm so not prepared for it. hate scales.
Thurs -Cancel tuition, spend the day w honey and pajiao and celia. it's the last time we can do
that before honey flies off to australia.
Fri - Currently just school and piano student in the morning, i've got a feeling sth's gonna come
up in the evening. i just don't know what yet.
Sat - Whole day in christofori
Sun - Half a day in christofori, sending honey off at the airport in the evening

i've got no time to read my biz law readings, my TWC readings, do my stats homework.
I HATE STATS.
i tried starting on it today, but i headed nowhere.
have to use stupid MS excel add-on which i haven't gotten the hang of yet.
i've got no time to walk uuno, i won't be surprised if one day he stops recognizing me.

but when i woke up this morning, there's a HUMONGOUS scratch mark on my face.
near my left dimple.

now i know what's the purpose of dimples.
when u get a cut near there, you can pretend to smile and the cut isn't that obvious alrd cos it's caving in.
so today, i'll be smiling all the way to school like some stupid retard.

not only did i scratch my face, i just managed to finish my TWC readings in the train, 10mins before the start of the seminar.
luckily i managed to blabber something out during lesson just now or my class participation for today will be a big fat zero.

hello.
i went to watch up with adilla on thurs.
loved it.
and for some reason, this quote from the fat little kid in up stuck with me.
i guess i can really relate to it.

sometimes, out of the blue, i get recollections from the past.
nuggets of information and memories from my childhood.for no reason at all.
like just the other day, i was sitting on the bus when i suddenly remembered how my late grandmother used to bring me to the wet market near our house in batam and buy me the kaya bread.
and also how she walked me from my family's furniture showroom to my favorite lontong stall, to buy me the red bean pancake thingy.
i think i was around 5 or 6yrs old at that time.
i miss her dearly.

and i feel damn guilty for missing my grandma's birthday party cos of work.
the grandma that's still breathing of course.
maybe i'll make her a card.but u all know how good my art is la..hahaha

anyways, i went for vivace yesterday(SMU CCA display day)
it was super crowded. everyone was in the underground concourse and it was so so so packed.
i joined quite a number of CCAs.
1.Chamber choir
2. Samba masala (percussion)
3. Symphonic band (i wanna learn the flute)
4. Animals' welfare club
5. Japanese cultural club (my cousin's the president of the club. must give face.hahahaha)
6. Ivory keys (piano)

but i haven't decided which one i really wanna join. next wk i'm just gonna go for all the auditions and tryouts to see which one im really into.
i wanted to join the strings (violin), but they are elitist la..they want pple w prior background.
even though i have piano background, i still must pay $120 for their course before i can join the CCA per se.
so i didn't join their mailing list.haha

i know i said i don't wanna join choir alrd, but i was listening to my old PJC choir song by queen, and i realised i really miss singing.
i miss my sop 1 khakis.hahaha
and the SMU choir is short of sops, i highly suspect they're short of sop 1s..
alot of choirs are short of sop 1s.
so maybe it'll help my testimonial.hahaha.

FIRST DAY OF MY UNIVERSITY LIFE....

...was interesting!
management comm is thankfully very artsy..
loads of reading..like history..
i like!hahaha
and the lecturer is also quite interesting..he speaks w a slight american accent.
the only problem is that business writing must be kept simple and concise when the whole of my education life, i've been taught to write in lengthy flowery english.

stats was boring as usual.
kinda reminded me of math lessons w cpt,
only that this lecturer speaks 2X slower then cpt.
after 2words into his sentence, i'll drift off cos he's speaking too slowly for my brain to process.
bt he seems nice too..nice old uncle.haha
so i ended up facebooking and chatting on msn.
okok...i shall pay more attention to him next lesson, since the real thing starts next wk
they say this wk is the honeymoon week for us.

ok la..4day wk is fine..
bt it wld be fantastic if creative thinking can be squashed into tues or fri instead of thurs.
nw i have to go to sch on thurs just for 1and a half hrs.lol.

07.08.09- UUNO BECOMES A EUNUCH.

i brought uuno for castration last friday..
it's just his balls that rolled away..not his penis.hahaha.
i know what ur thinking now.im cruel.
but hey, it has health benefits ok..im thinking for his health..
and he doesn't hate me after that..hee.

this is uuno before gg to the vet's.
i was playing fetch with him
ok, technically it's just throw and he catch, and then refuse to give it back to me.
that's his fave toy-tigger!

Honey loh's chihuahua, rexrex went with uuno for castration too..
haha..his face was funny when he came out of the operating theatre..
although he didn't have eyebrows, you can actually see that he's frowning.

Rex rex sleeping in the cab..so cute..
he actually looks like he's in pain..hahaha.

uuno was damn groggy..cos of the anaesthesia..
and cos he's heavier then rex rex, so he needed more anaesthesia..
which explains why he cost $20 more then rexrex..

hee..my baby sleeping..
with his eyes tightly shut.literally.tightly.

uuno slept the whole night away..
and he walked with his hind legs really wide apart.hahaha.
the lamp shade thing is the e-collar..to prevent him from licking the wound.

but whenever i put that on him, he starts crying and refuses to move.
he just sits there and give me that sad puppy face..
so i took it off for him in the end..waste my money buying it.hahaha.

09.08.09 - DA VINCI EXHIBITION.

we went to the science centre yesterday to see the da vinci exhibition.
no photos cos photography is not allowed.
but i had a important conclusion to make after the whole exhibition.
ahem ahem...
leonardo da vinci has too much time to spare.
really! otherwise, he wouldn't have so much time to think about everything and anything under the sun.
he spent 16 years studying a horse for a sculpture project and he didn't even manage to finish the horse sculpture cos some war destroyed it.

ok la..to be fair, he really is a genius.
he wasn't afraid of the impossible - flying, going underwater etc.
he was a biologist, a war advisor, an artist, a physicist,
he was the pioneer of flight, anatomy,diving,various paint technics..blah blah blah..
i think the only reason he wasn't into chemistry was cos there wasn't any chemicals in his era yet.hahaha
or maybe just like me, he just hates chem.hahahaha.

so anyways, we went to the sci centre too..we bought the package..
so many kids..urgh..
by the time we were done w da vinci, we were pretty tired already, so we only went to the parts that were new..

this was at some IT part of the science centre..
it's damn cool..they have a whole section on technology of the future..
they had these huge screens like those in the movie.........i forgot the name of it..
the one with brad pitt where they could foresee future crimes that might happen and hence prevent them..
i want one of those..woo!

we have e$100 to bid for the mods and the timeslot, the highest bids get the slots.

if you don't get it the first time round, you have to bid for another timeslot..

i didn't get 3 mods i wanted in window 1, so i had to bid for it again in window 2.

the results are coming out today..i hope they're all successful.

initially i planned a 2day week, bt fionie said that it's too tiring, so i changed it to 3days.

then i failed to get all the mods i wanted in window 1 so i have to bid for other timeslots in window 2.

so now if all goes well, i have a 4day week.

if it doesn't, it just sucks.

so pray for me ok?

and i still don't know what CCA to join..

maybe the strings ensemble? but i dunno hw to play the violin, although i think im able to pick it up quickly since i have background.

or maybe the ivory keys? but i've been playing piano for my whole life.abit boring ah..haha

or maybe tennis or squash? but im not good at sports..hahaha..

oh..and convocation is next week..

hello.i met up w adilla yesterday for crapping session.
and i had seaweed shaker fries again!!
im so addicted to it.hahahahahaha.

anyways, i was clearing out my wardrobe today.
and i found loads of stuff i forgot i had.hahaha.
and and and.....i found my mom's old photograph!
i wanted to upload, bt i think she will slaughter me.
it's damn funny - big big hair,big big glasses, big big shoulder pads.
lol..maybe i'll be laughing at my own photo 10years from now.hahaha.

and i realised i had loads of soft toys.
i know i had alot, bt it didn't occur to me that it was that many.
it was an emotional tug of war when i was deciding to throw away or keep them.
so i categorised them into 'sentimental value' or 'it looks cute.'
in the end, it didn't work out cos many of them overlapped.
bt still, i ended up throwing some of them away.felt a little sad.
i don't know why.
i mean i even forgot the existence of some of those i threw away.

and uuno's being such a darling today.
i shall buy him more treats later (:

HELLO!
i'm back from camp.
it isn't as bad as i thought it was..in fact, i think it's the most fun camp i've ever went.
(minus the fact that this is only the 2nd camp i've been to in my life)

it's amazing how our grp only had 9 pple bt i still managed to be in the same group as fionie.hahaha.
i thought the grp was humongous that's why the probability of us meeting was larger.
our grp initially had 15pple, but most of them were quarantined cos they went to the asoc camp which had a suspected H1N1 case.

since our grp was small, on the first day we were alrd confortably bonded to one another, not chatty yet, bt not awkward.
they are a bunch of nice pple..
the gd thing abt being in the same grp as fion was that she's alot more sociable then me so i can just leech on her to talk to pple.hahahahaha.

i tell you, i'm damn sway.
every game tht depends on luck, i'll lose and kena forfeit.
there was this game where you will challenge your facilitator to a game of scissors paper stone and the loser will have flour and water dumped onto u.
out of the 9pple in my grp, i was amongst the 2 sway ones to get flour and water stuck in my hair. -.-

The camp had this differentiation of terms used to describe games.
games were supposed to be pure fun, and activities were games that had learning points. surprisingly, i found the activities more fun then the games.
i hated the night games. it was like fear factor.

there was this game where there was a container filled with mealworms and apples, and you were supposed to use your mouth to bite the apple.
the worst thing was that the apple was not hard and crunchy, so i was this close (pinches fingers) to getting the apple, but it couldn't be bitten up. so after a few tries i freaked out.

then there was this other game where you had to challenge another group. the loser had to drink a blend of garlic,veggies,and garlic. we lost. i had to drink. before that, we were fed eno powder, so there was alot of CO2 in my stomach alrd, then i had to drink that blended thing. so i puked cos it was a reflex action more then anything else.
see..fear factor-esque.

oh! we got to do rafting too!
i was quite excited to do rafting cos it was sth new that i haven't tried yet.
bt when we had to build the raft, i felt really useless cos i didn't know how to tie the raft together. so i tried whatever i can to help the team lorh..
and when our raft can finally go to sea, our barrels were turning around, and i had to row. so i was trying to balance and row at the same time. plus, the life jacket was really tight, so i was really seasick. that's when i decided, rafting is not for me.hahaha.

i got no photos to upload yet cos all the photos are with our faci. actually, i don't even know if i'll upload.hahaha.
it's gonna be so unglam. half the time in camp my hair was drenched in either sweat or water. and my hair takes darn long to dry. i don't know why.

anyways, when i got home yesterday, i was still in camp mode. so i just sat on the sofa and stoned. i didn't know what to do first. hahahaha.
and, blogger is screwed up. i can't find any buttons like the font and upload photos button on top of the typing box.

cos i'm not a sociable-yay! it's make new friends time-i love cheers and games kinda person.

i'm trying this healthy lifestyle thingy right now.
i'm slping at 10pm and waking up at 7.45am

hello. i'm getting a little nostalgic here.haha.
after arnd 6mths of not studying, i realised i kinda missed studying.especially hist and econs.
it's prob bcos of the teachers i've had. I really miss mdm loh and miss nura.

i miss the econs lectures we had in LT4 with mdm loh where we madly scribble everything on the transparencies onto our notes.
i miss the thrill of scribbling everything legibly onto my notes w my different colour pens.
i miss dreading micro econs.
i miss looking forward to macro econs.i miss writing econs essays and case studies.
i miss consultations with mdm loh.

i miss the hist lectures and the lecture hall tables which i slowly nod off to sleep.
i miss mr ng's jokes about historical events and the way he describes things. he really has a way w words.
i miss reading all about united nations and the childish antics of US and SU.
i miss learning about SEA history and showing off to my dad that i know more about his country then he does.
i miss consultations with miss nura too..it was kinda fun.
i miss the excitement of getting back my econs and hist results after every exam.since they are both quite subjective, i cld never guess what kinda grades i would get.

i really have to thank miss nura for scraping off 3/4 of the essay i painstaking wrote the night before the consultation. it was definitely a wake up call for me.haha.
if she didn't do that, i wld probably have gotten a C/D for my history.
so, thank you miss nura!

i know i sound crazy.
yes, the 2years were hard,painful in fact.
probably the most difficult 2 years of my life.
the whole system is stressful, i always say that the MOE crammed 200years of history of many countries into 1+ years.

bt now, i think the reason it's so difficult was because i had to take math and chem.
LOH SIOW BOON.I WILL NEVER FORGET U.
and not in a good way ok..i might have done better if he didn't tell me "GET ON WITH YOUR LIFE!" when i requested to change my H1 chem to geog.
it's totally rude and uncalled for. he was part of the reason jc was so torturous for me.
i DETEST chemistry, and he made me do it when i'm more qualified than the pple from combined geog in sec sch.
i got a freakin' distinction for my pure geog and he didn't allow me to change my combi.
you can never imagine the anger and disappointment i felt at that moment.
i even told all my teachers-if i didn't get into a local uni cos i failed my H1, BLAME HIM.
all the teachers i complained to said that he might be stressed out cos he was just promoted to HOD that's why he blurted that out, but i think as a teacher, saying that to a student-a new student,is bloody irresponsible.
i shld know.i'm sorta a teacher myself.
as long as i live, i will never forget u for making my life miserable with stupid chemistry.
just so u know, i'm a history student. i have a pretty good memory, and i like to bear grudges.
i forgive, but i NEVER forget.
and right now, i semi-forgive you. cos anyhow, i still got into a pretty good course, no thanks to u though.
you know what, i really hope he reads this.so that he knows how one sentence could make such a huge impact on another person's life and hopefully this doesn't happen on another student.
urgh.talking about him spoils my mood.

and to my chem teachers, i'm sorry i put in minimal effort for chem.
i just can't stand the sight of it.
if i pulled down ur average and caused u ur bonuses, feel free to blame loh siow boon too.

but my 2years in pjc definitely had some things worth remembering.
maybe i will go back visit mdm loh and miss nura when i go back for my A lvl cert.

KIDS THESE DAYS...
irritate me ttm.

I was at macdonalds' today..gek poh branch
unfortunately, gek poh is just 3mins away from pioneer primary.
and even more unfortunately, pioneer primary is my alma mater.
before i walked in, i could hear noises. LOUD noises coming from inside.
and when i walked in, the restaurant was in a state of pandemonium, i'm not exaggerating.
i swear. i was like - omg, is this where i studied at 7years ago??

let's do a little comparison:
1. 2002 - when i was in PPS, I had a stay home mom who kept a tight rein on me. i was NEVER allowed anywhere, even gekpoh which was 3mins away, with my friends.
2009 - they came in swarms, into gekpoh. rowdy and loud.real loud.

2. 2002 - I had a daily allowance of 80cents
2009 - They had at least $10 in their wallets. everyone of them.
seriously, even if u take inflation into account, i don't think that warrants 10X the amount in
2002. I mean, now even when i'm working, I might not have $10 in my wallet. (minus the fact that the ATM card exists)

3. 2002 - The only profanities i knew was "stupid", "crazy", " idiot". and i had to use them real discretely lest my mom finds out.
2009 - I constantly hear profanities along the lines of "F***","Bitch", "KN*" etc.
CONSTANTLY.

4. 2002 - I hardly know the concept of BGR.
2009 - I see this girl and this boy shamelessly flirting with one another.

5. 2002 - I only had my first handphone in pri 5. and it was nokia 8250. super obsolete technology.
2009 - wow. they have better phones than i do in 2009! all i have is a stupid W910I which never fails to die on me on the most impt moments, and these kids have touch screen phones.

see, another reason for me to hate things that resembles humans that are less than 15years of age.
And their conversation has become so "intellectually stimulating" that they could argue about which colour should be their favourite. i tried taking their age and maturity levels into account, and nope, i couldn't find a reason to find that acceptable.

If i ever have kids and they turn out like that..... NO, that's a horrible thought.
i will just have to tell my parents to depend on my sis for grandkids.
i'd rather keep dogs. at least they don't irritate me and they're entertaining.
and that reminds me.
whenever i tell someone i'll never have kids cos they irritate me, they'll be like "why don't u adopt?"
then i'll be like....... =.=
if i don't want kids around me, why would i bother adopting when i don't even want one of those from my genepool??!!
that's utter stupidity. and these pple irritate me too.

UUNO'S DAY OUT TO BOTANICAL GARDENS!

HELLO! I've finally met up w sh and jaishree (dilys couldn't make it)!
and it's also uuno's first visit to the botanic garden.and my 2nd.
the last time i was there, i was still obsessed with sailormoon.
so yeah, it's been awhile since i was there.hahaha.

surprisingly, there is alot of pple there.
even more surprisingly, i saw quite a number of girls wearing heels to botanic gardens.
how do they even walk in it?
oh, and we saw around 5 couples taking their wedding photos.
i thought lesser pple wld get married during a recession, seems like i'm wrong.hahaha.

oh, and there were so many pple taking photos of uuno, i'll be rich if i charged for each picture taken.

This is the carrier which i used to smuggle uuno onto the bus to town.hahaha.
i love it to bits! it's the most well-spent $50 i've ever spent.
but uuno always looks emo when he's in it.hahaha.

i'm gonna blog about my little puppy!

yeah..u must be getting bored alrd, but he's the most exciting thing in my life at the moment.

shows how boring my life is huh..hahaha..

the day i was bringing him home(thurs), SMU called me to go for their business interview on wed.

and then, two days later, NTU sent me an acceptance letter to economics! and they even gave me a bursary! woohoo...

so now i got $1200 to pay for my dog.lol.
(well, that's if i really end up in NTU).

Uuno's a funny little puppy.

1. He doesn't bark

2. He refuses to walk on a leash.

when we bring him down for walks, he refuses to walk on a leash, but when we remove the leash, he willingly walks beside me. he doesn't even run in front of me.lol.

3. He's a greedy dog.

He follows anyone who feeds him food. He's a terrible watchdog.hahaha.

i don't know what's he licking.seriously.

4. He hates hairclips.

Whenever i put hair clips on him he's use his paw paw to get rid of it. i'm smarter now, i use rubber band first then put hair clip so that it doesn't drop.hahaha.

5. He loves to laugh. lol.

the other night when we were watching tv, we laughed at sth that was on tv, and then he started laughing too. At first i thought it was a coincidence, but when he fell aslp on my lap, we tried it again, and he woke up to laugh w us! HAHAHA.he looks crazy in this photo.

6. He dislikes bread an vege, he only likes meat.

that's totally opposite of me.lol.

7. He loves water, he can drink 2bottles of his water bottle a day.

i can only drink one.Max.

8. He can sleep anytime, anywhere.

you put him down on the floor, table,lap,bag,ANYWHERE! he will sleep.

He has other funny stuff and quirks, but i shan't bore pple to death and go on and on and on and on and on and on and on............

This is uuno!
before grooming la..by next friday when i bring him home, he'll be nicely fluffed up and his tear stains will be gone!
ok..maybe not gone..minimised.they said white coated dogs must use some bleaching thingy to totally get rid of tear stains.
a little troublesome, bt for my little uuno, it's worth it! :)

The lady holding uuno is winnie, the person taking care of him.
she's really nice...
she genuinely cares for the dogs, not just for the money.

my sister came along too after school. she took a video of uuno!

i named him UUNO.
hahaha..yeah, like the card game, plus an extra U.
Uuno's a 3month old maltese, and i fell in love w him the first time i laid my eyes on him.hahaha.
he's super cute, except for some tear stains.
i asked the groomer to shave off the tear stains alrd, so shld be ok.
i bought him from pets lovers centre, and i'm collecting him on next fridayyyy!!!
can't wait!!
i'll be posting up photos of uuno once i get him.hahahaha.
now i'll have a jogging buddy.

I THINK KYKY'S PREGNANT.

yes, i'm almost 70% sure he's pregnant.
i said he cos i thought kyky's a boy, but it turned out that noel found 6nipples on "his" body.
fyi, you can't see nipples unless the hamster's preggers.
this is so wierd. super wierd.

and i'm 90% sure it's bottie's, which makes it super incestrous.
my mind just went "-blank- omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg"
after noel and fion double confirmed it.
i always thought that kyky's a boy w really small testicles.but still a boy.
if i were a lawyer, i'd sue pet lovers.
the staff there are super unprofessional.
first, they tell my sis's friend that skippy's a boy, and "he" turned preggers too.
then, there's my kyky.
i shld sue them and force the little kykys on them. make them pay $30 per hamster.

i can't even bear to look at him, no her, no him.watever.
im disgusted by the thought.
my pure innocent naive hamsters are corrupted.

i didn't realise how anti social i was till recently.
first it was veeko where i found it diff to communicate to my colleagues.
then it was christofori.
i love my christofori job cos it allows me to be anti social.hahaha.
i only have to socialise w the students.lol.

i kinda like teaching kids..as compared to teenagers.
yes, im not particularly a 'kids-person'
bt kids are just simpler to work with.
they do not judge you, they do not make comparisons, they have lower expectations.

oh, and i met my pri sch friend today on the way home. at the bus interchange actually.
he was standing there, and my first instinct was to pretend i didn't see him.
so that i don't have to go through all the small talk torture.
bt it was too late, he alrd saw me.
so yes, i had to go through all the small talk.
it's funny how we were kinda close in pri sch, and now im avoiding him.lol.
the worst thing is he lives 2 floors above me.
that's what time does to pple i guess.
i don't like it, but i can't help it.

bt there's still no news for me.

23.03.09 - Mommy's birthday!

We went to ding tai feng @ jp extension for dinner cum birthday celebration.
the food's not too bad, but there was a lack of variety.
plus, it's a little pricey...
$6 plus for a 2 buns? isn't it a little too much?
it's just flour and sesame..i bet it doesn't even cost $1 for 2 buns.

After that, we went to swenson's for dessert, and we ordered this.

this fondue was meant for 2, bt the 4of us couldn't finish it all..
we had 2 strawberries and 3cherries left over. bt we finished every bit of the chocolate.hahaha.
i paid for this cos my irritating sister said i very stingy.
cos for the whole of my non-consecutive-working-life, i haven't treated the family to anything yet.bleaghx.
so i relented and paid for this fondue which cost my $24.01.
yes, 1 meagre cent they also want. -.-

i took this unglam shot of them first, then my dad tricked me into giving him the camera,
and then this happened.

not that i want to open my mouth that big, it's cos the marshmallow is big.
and i don't want chocolate smeared all over my lips.haha.

these 2 pple are very happy cos they say this might be the first and last time their stingy daughter will treat them to ice cream.
not true ok..
just to clarify, i don't treat them to meals cos i spend the money on them in some other ways.
on more practical stuff ok....

24.03.09 - Brunch at Vienna

Fionie, Von and I went to Vienna's yesterday for international buffet.
so worth it.the amount i ate definitely broke even with the amount i paid.
mostly cos of the amt of seafood i ate.hahaha.

I'm definitely going back to Vienna one day..
FOR THE CEREAL PRAWNS.DAMN GOOD!
i think i ate arnd 9prawns yesterday even though i'm a little allergic to seafood.
ok, scratch that, i'm quite allergic to it.
luckily i have loads of anti-histamines at home.hahaha.
The service there is quite good, besides the fact that they didn't refill my coke w/o me asking for it.
They cleared the dirty plates real quickly. as soon as we left the table for another round,
our dirty plates are cleared away alrd.that's one thing i really like abt vienna.
i hate it when plates pile up on my table during buffets.
and when i get really irritated, the restaurant's not gg to like me.
and i won't like the restaurant, so i won't go back.
so it's a lose-lose situation cos they don't earn money and i don't get the food.
so vienna is smart in that sense.hahaha.

fionie felt sick after that...
don't think it's cos of vienna's food la..haha
but she went home first..
so von and i went to borders at orchard.
she bought 2 books - twilight and new moon.
we're gg back again on friday cos that stupid zhai nu cannot read slowly.lol.
she finished her 2 books alrd.it's nt even 24hours yet.

anyways, i've been packing up my room, and i've found some things that i never remembered i had.hahaha.
like my primary school autograph book.
you know, the book where you ask your friends to write their particulars in colourful pens, and of course, the poem and the message.
my fave was the message part.i'd skip all the contact detail and the 100%,80%,50% best friends nonsense and jump straight into the message.hahaha.
oh! and the secret admirer part where you put in a few alphabets and put underscores like hangman for the owner to guess.hahaha.
it's quite funny actually.

i don't think kids nowadays have such traditions anymore, which i think is quite a shame.
these kids wouldn't have any piece of their childhood to hold on to anymore cos all they have is their stupid cards with ugly monsters on them, and gadgets like tamagotchi and DS lite which they will dump once a newer version is launched.

and this inspired me to write letters to me 5years later, like a time capsule.
This is how the front page will prob look like:

it's gonna be fun, seeing how my life is different or the same from now, whether i've started working and stuff.

If only things could be simpler.

i've just submitted my applications to uni.
seriously, i didn't utilize all the choices given in the forms.haha.
cos being in the arts stream doesn't really give me much of a choice, but i don't regret it.
(don't get me started on the whole debate again)

the forms are so complicated.
ok, complicated's not the right word, troublesome is.
we've alrd done our best to study for the darn examination, can't the govt make things simpler for us?
what's the point of writing essays in an application form when you may not even get into that uni you tell me?hahaha.
the most troublesome one is prob NTU, where you have to write an essay of less than 300words essay on either one of the 2qns given.
super troublesome.

why can't we skip everything and just put in our choices, then ta-daa!
we're in uni!
hahahahahaha...that's why i say, if only things could be simpler.

06.03.09 -HONEY'S BIRTHDAY + JUDGEMENT DAY

We went to new york new york for dinner, after 3mths of craving (for my case only).
i missed their fish and chips ttm, bt imagine my disappointment when they served the fish.

2. Batter was totally different.TOTALLY.
3. i know oil prices is coming down, bt there's seriously no need to drench the fish in oil.
4. The fish breaks apart the moment i cut it.how to put sauce u tell me?!!

that's not all.i wanna complain about the icecream.
i was super close in asking the pple there - 'new york got no oreo ah?'
the brown cookies at the bottom of the ice-cream resembles oreo, tastes like khong guan, bt is neither of them.it's some cheapo cookie.
and the ice cream itself is like those cheap walls ice cream,
to think we paid $15 for it.
im never gg back to nyny again.

there was this himbo waitor who served us.

we had a big bowl of icecream in front of us, bt when we asked for extra dessert spoons, he gave us meal spoons.

speculation over the release of the A' level results have been creating quite a hype recently.
many pple think it's next friday.
in fact, they're so convinced that it's no longer a rumour but a fact.
me? my stomach does a mid-air summersault whenever i hear abt it.
so i choose to ignore all speculations, and watch out for the news on tv.
who knows? 2moro's 9pm news would confirm that it wld be released on friday.hahaha.

today's the 1st of march 2009, which meant that my stint at veeko's over.
going back 2moro to return uniforms though.
the rest of my time before entering uni(assumption) wld be spent on prep for grade8 exam,
teaching tuition and piano on wkends.
pretty excited abt march actually.it's a new beggining.hahaha.
several turning pts in march -
1. results = i wld know if i can make it into a local uni
2. christofori = i wld know if it wld be my permanant plan B if i cmi.

see, this reminds me of the watershed question in SEA history.
nw everything reminds me of wat i learnt in jc.
the process of waiting for the results is a whole lot more stressful then the actual studying process.

31.01.2009 - FAD'S BDAE CELEBRATION!

The Last day of January was pretty much my first to everything.
my first to Haji Lane.
my first to a pub.
my first to liquer.

Haji Lane was nth i imagined.hahaha.
it is a pretty nice place actually, i esp loved the decor of the shops.
it provided a breather from the boring shopping malls concepts.

The stuff there are mostly handmade, (i.e.expensive), and retro.
not my style actually..i am told i dress kiddy.hahaha.
but there are stuff that i liked, bt couldn't afford cos im still a leech of society.hahaha.

but in the end, i still bought a dress and heels from haji lane.

3. force feed grasshoppers w grass till it pukes to its death.
4. using a nutcracker on a cockroach to see if it works.
5. as i've mentioned, watching ants struggle on the sticky side of post-its.

i went to East Coast yesterday w von and pajiao.
it was oodles of fun.we shld do it more often.hahaha
although we wasted alot of money.:/

OUR RESTAURANT IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!
after months of preparation, our final product is finally presented to the public!
oh.i dun think sgporeans have seen these things before.
these are giant posters made of flowers.
oh, and most of these posters got our name wrong.
it was supposed to be "The Bridge" - Coffee and Dining
most of them said The Bridge Coffee.
i bet it's cos my blur blur daddy told everyone wrongly.
oh! i saw 2singaporeans in front of our restaurant today, and guess wat?
they were so intrigued by it, they actually stopped in front of our restaurant to take pics w it!
my dad was saying " sua gu". haha.

We had a cell group gathering w the church pastor to cleanse and bless the restaurant.

i met up w dilys and shuhui yesterday!
we went to vivo for sucky steamboat.hahahaha.
ok la..in it's defence, anything that was nt seasoned was nice. (e.g. veggies)

The restaurant was supposed to specialise in ma la huo guo.
bt much to our disappointment, it wasn't spicy at all.
in fact, the herbal chicken soup was alot alot nicer.

so we decided not to touch the spicy one anymore.
after awhile, this was wat happened.

it was alrd arnd 10 when we finished eating.haha.
the funny thing was that my watch was still adjusted to the indonesian time,

I'M BACKK!
hello hello hello.i've returned from my m'sia trip(:
truffie missed me.hahaha.

Day 1 - SGP to Genting Highlands
We had to board the bus at 7am.
As usual, we had to wait cos there was only one counter operating in the morning.
oh! the bus we boarded had adverts on the mandai zoo.
a monkey was sitting right next to me.
this is my new friend. His name is so ugly.hahaha.

I love love love the weather in Genting. Im never gg to Genting in June/July again.
it was super foggy, and it was only 14deg by evening.
if only sgp had this weather.heh.
we were staying at first world hotel, and from our window, u can barely see the scenary below.
not that it was very nice anyway.hahaha.
btw, first world hotel is the 1st hotel i went that didn't have room service.bleaghx.

The ferris wheel of the indoor theme park.didn't ride it though.
the indoor theme park didn't look exciting at all.hahaha.

It was nearly 2pm when we reached Genting, but there were sooo many tourists that we had to wait for our turn to check in.
It was nearly 4pm when we finished all the paper work.
talk abt efficiency.hah.
so within 2-3pm, we were wondering arnd the hotel, WITH OUR LUGGAGE.
sia suay to the max.

ok.i dunno why so many pple dunno hw to use my bestie(Cam)
i tot it was quite idiot proof alrd.so i dunno why it turned out like that.hahaha.

so bored while waiting to check in so we started to look for entertainment.

our outdoor theme park tickets!

it was super duper fun!! i wanna go again.
bt fionie and von practically paid SGD16 to carry my stuff.hahaha.
the rides were too scary for them.
bt we managed to convince/force von to go on the roller coaster!

it's called space shot, and it carries you to the highest point, and then whooooooshes down.
kinda like free fall/ jumping off a building.

fionie looked unprepared.
she said if we weren't wearing the same sweater, she would have blended into the background of strangers.hahaha.

still super excited.

Day 2 - Genting to KL

This was our first breakfast overseas cos lousy first world didn't provide breakfast.
we had dim sum for breakfast!
i still miss the shrimp roll.

this was hw foggy it is in Genting. u can hardly see the faces of the pple 2m away fr you.

we asked these 2 policemen to help us take a pic.and the skinny cop actually took a pic w us.
point is - we didn't request for him to do that.hahaha.

Bet u didn't know how the sgp embassy looks like in KL.hahaha.

hmm..it's pretty...average.
the design is so safe.no wonder pple say sgpreans have no creative brain cells.hahaha.

we had macD for lunch!
the MacD there is cheaper and better.
they have the chicken porridge there!
i missed the chicken porridge.

von and fionie is happy cos the chicken in the burger is not processed meat.hahaha.

KL's pretty much a shopping trip.
we bought all of this from just one shopping centre - Sungei Wang plaza.
actually, we only had time for one shopping centre, bt it was alrd sufficient.hahaha.

Day 3 - KL to Malacca

i loved the bus we took fr. KL to malacca!
it was filled w entertainment, and the seats were super spacious.
and yes, i was watching toy story.

fionie's head is too small.hahaha.
the earphones kept slipping off her head.

im happy cos the seats are spacious.
im 67% claustrophobic.

then it was shopping again!
this is us in mango.i can't find the non-flash version.hahaha.
shopping in malacca wasn't as enjoyable as KL.
mahkota parade was overated.
sure, it was huge, bt there was loads of walking space which was redundant cos there were not many shops.
i think pahlawan was better.

the shopping was so blah that we returned to the hotel quite early.
and we ordered room service!
the servings were enormous. and i was hungry.hahaha.

Day 4 - Malacca to Singapore

yuck. act cute to the max.this was how bored we were.hahaha.
im scrolling down.im gonna puke soon.
fionie said i had an international face.hahaha.
cos i look kinda like a jap, bt i cld also easily blend into english/chinese/malay speaking communities.hahaha.
luckily my bahasa indonesia is nt that rusty yet.
everyone in malaysia was speaking to us in malay.

fioniee..and her 2ponytails.hahaha.
we are the act cute duo.

ok..these are pretty much everything i bought.
minus some stuff i forgot.hee.

i'm such a good sister.i bought the backpack for my sis.
eh..not cheap ok...hahaha.

i've been busy w my daddy's restaurant lately, doing up the decor and xmas decorations.

i had to think of the description for the food, and translate the food names into chinese too.
then i realised how lousy my chinese was.
i could not remember wat was pumpkin, lady's finger, kangkong corn and barley in chinese.
lol.

oh! and i did loads of SHOPPING!!!!!!
the clothes here are super cheap.hahaha.
that's why amelia's a happy happy girl now.
especially since the rupiah had depreciated to 7300 to SGD1.
and that's after USA loaned millions to indonesia. lol.

it'd be a super exciting 2weeks!
i'm sooooo looking forward to it.
i'll be back on sunday, just in time for ernie's belated bdae celebration.

Hello!

prom was yesterday. the most important thing i've gotta say is...

i absolutely hate my hair to the core!

i still love my straight stright hair.

Zawlwin drove us to Hilton..this is us in his family car.

i didn't get road sick..that may be my consolation.haha.

but jiajun did..so she didn't get to enjoy the whole event.

i hope she's better now :)

I was rather disappointed with the whole event, especially with hilton.
Initially, i was expecting a better decorated ballroom with awesome service and fantastic food.
but what we got from th supposedly 5/6star hotel was an ordinary ball room, with lousy service and not so fantastic food.

Nevermind that the ballroom was blah, the food was so 3star hotel quality.

not that i'm a gourmet, but yes, im picky about my food.

i know good food when i taste it, and it wasn't good.

we paid 85 dollars for substandard food, which we didn't even get to eat!

seriously, they cleared away the plates of food before we got to them..

i'm starting to think that the workers there did it on purpose so that they'll have free dinner.

plus, there was only 7 dishes..i had expected 10, or at least 8.

HILTON SUCKS.

i was sitting in the front row in their lecture theatre and the lecturer didn't even notice!
ok..first impressions: TP look like a hospital.haha.
the LT is small and steep!
it's super steep, so steep that you'd feel you would topple or roll down if you leaned forward..

the lecture was mainly on DNA and bio and stuff..
didn't really understand the lecture, luckily it ended early..hahaha..
it was supposed to be a 2hr lecture, bt the lecturer gave a 10min break after 45 mins, and then had early dismissal..hahaha..
i learnt something though- mRNA and dunno wat island.haha.

oh! they have cable TV in their library!!
How cool is that?!
omg..if only PJC had cable, then maybe i'll stay in sch more often..hahahahahaha..

i observed sth too.
there's a really vast difference pertaining to how the students dress there.
there were students who really go all out, as if it's prom everyday
and there were students who wore nth more than pyjamas to school.
this was a sth really new, cos' in my 10years of education, i don't get a choice of what to wear.
hahaha..bt nonetheless, it was a really cool experience. (:

our batch is forever the one with the new syllabus.
our batch always gets screwed up cos' the new syllabus is more demanding.
this time, our batch got screwed up for A levels cos' last year's batch got all the easy questions!

first, it was history.
the questions weren't hard, just unexpected.
cos' 2questions came out in 2007, the exact same questions.

then it was GP.
the questions were again, unexpected.
cos' most of the questions were not content based.
btw, i think i wrote too many history essays.
cos' now my GP essay looks like a history essay.hahaha.
i couldn't stop myself from the topic sentence-linking sentence format, so my compo came out rather choppy...

then, today's maths paper.
it was definitely harder then the 2007 paper.
much much harder.
totally screwed man....
what if paper2's even harder?
what if i fail maths again?

hopefully the whole cohort does really badly, so they have to moderate loads..
